cannot print downloaded files
i have an employee sending me order forms to print and i can not print the file
i have restarted, updated drivers, made sure i wasn't printing to file, made sure it was going to the correct printer.... nothin
its an xls file, and all my other xls files print, but the ones from this person will not, i don't know why
the printer acts like its going to work, the print que deal pops up and the printer starts making some noise, but then quits, and the print que icon only is up for 3-4 seconds
One idea, do a PRINT PREVIEW. See a blank page instead of the data? Check the FILE > PRINT AREA make sure it is set to print everything, or just clear it.

did not work, when i print preview i can see everything fine
also, i can print it from another computer, just not this one its weird

sometimes the fonts will have an issue with some model of printer.
i'm not sure about it. but you can compare the file to others that can be printed also( versions and other information) maybe you could find something.

Are you using 2003 as your profile suggests?
2007 has an option to restrict permissions, which include printing permissions.
You might not be on this list and that might explain why you can print from another machine.
Office Button > Prepare > Restrict Permissions > ....
I think 2003 latterly had a similar option via the internet, but never used it.

If you are satisfied by any members response to your problem please consider using the small Star icon bottom left of their post to show your appreciation.
If you have a PDF creator, then you might want to try and create a PDF file. If that works fine, then I believe that this will narrow down the potential problems to the printer rather than the actual Excel program.

im using 2003 on this computer, i believe its 2007 on the other computer and the printers are 2 different brands
