    MROUND formula

    Hi There,
I am using the MROUND formula and it works well, but I need to force the result to the next multiple, i.e. always roundup instead of to the closest multiple. Any ideas? I have tired imbedded and sharing formulae - just a frustration at the moment...

Arthur, your suggestion on the MOD formula ROCKS - thanks a mil!

    Re: MROUND formula

I think CEILING (or, since you are using XL 2010, CEILING.PRECISE) will do what you want.

    =CEILING.PRECISE(A1,3)
    Hope that helps,

    Colin

    Re: MROUND formula

    Try changing:
    =MROUND(Number, Multiple)
    to
    =MROUND(Number + Multiple/2, Multiple)
