Hello, I wonder if you can help me! I have a list of 1000's of dates.

Different events are happening on the same date. I need to count the number of events that are happening in every month in order to plot a timeline of trends over a few years.

I need to end up with:

January 2008 - 3
February - 8
March - 22 etc... in order to plot a chart.

How would your ecommend I go about doing this?
