If A1 contain 1 then B1 shows red 1 or if A1 contains 2 then B1 shows green 2, this is for all numbers up to 10 using different colours for each,

You can use conditional formatting for that. The sample workbook illustrates the first three cells, you should be able to figure it out from there.
Is your code running too slowly?
Does your workbook or database have a bunch of duplicate pieces of data?
