convert SAP date format to excel date format

Dear All,

I have faced with a problem what I can't solve. The problem is that the report which is coming from SAP contains a date in the following format: 26/10/2011
This is text format and there is not any opporunity to change the format into real and manageable date format. I tried to use format change (text to date), some date related functions to convert it, but it is not working.
Do you have any idea how I can change this SAP date format into excel date format?

Select the dates to adapt - Select Data - Text to columns -Next - Next set the date to DMY in the column dataformat - Finish

Bence what way are you running the report in SAP?

There is an option when running reports in SAP under 'Output format' where you can choose option 'SAP List Viewer'. When the report runs there is an excel icon at the top of the screen to change the report into excel format in SAP. Once done you can format cells as required and then download to excel.
