    cut/paste conditional formatting colour scheme??

Hi, i want to transfer "data" from one xls to another - primarily interested in transferring the conditional formatting colour scheme that is in the source xls, where the data is in columns, to a row format for managers who dont need the data just the colours!
How can i do this please??
    thanks

Use the Format Painter tool. IT works for conditional formatting too. Select the cell or group of cells with the desired formatting, click on the Format Painter, then go to the other workbook and click on the destination where you want to use that conditional formatting.

What version of Excel do you use?
