Hello,

I'm a graduate student and am working on a research project involving twitter. I've copied and pasted about 800,000 tweets and now I need to randomly sample about 4,138 of them. Is there a way to do this without it being numerical data and with this many rows of information? I tried directions on this from "How-To.com" but I couldn't get them to work (it may just be the user though).

If not, it would even be helpful to be able to go straight to a row. I am using a random number generator, so I have to scroll to each row that comes up in the generator and copy and paste that row into a new Excel file? Does anyone know how I could avoid the scrolling and go straight to the row number? I tried pushing F5 already that brings up a box that said Go To, but every time I would type in the row or cell number, it would say it was invalid. Any ideas?

Thanks!
