How do I move formula to cumulate?

I have a spreadsheet for taxes where I have individual entry amounts and a cumulative after each entry

My formula to cumulate is =E4 + D5
and the next line cumulate is =E5 + D6

    i.e

    Amount__________Cumulative
    1_________________1
    3_________________4
    2_________________6
    6_________________12

I don't want to enter a new formula for each cumulate cell. How do I copy this formula pattern down the column so it advances each row?
I'm sure this is easy to do but I just don't know how...

As you can tell I am a relative newbie to Excel. Thanks for your help!

Select the first cell with your formula and drag down with the handle at the right lower corner

Alternatively double-click on the handle. It will extend as long as their are values in the left column

Re: How do I move formula to cumulate?

Thanks Arthur. That worked well. All the fomulas copied down the column. The only problem is that it shows the last cumulate all the way down the page for all the rows where there aren't entries. Ideally the cumulate column in these rows would be blank. Any ideas?

    ie

    1___________1
    4___________5
    2___________7
    ___________7
    ___________7
    etc

Idea nr1 : stop dragging when there are no more values
    Idea nr 2 use =Id(D5="","",E4+D5)
