    Record creation and udate dates

Is it possible to record the date on a spread sheet of when it was created and also the dates it was updated?

I have enclosed a small sample, when opened it inserts the today code, however i need this to then be fixed as a creation date but also any subsequent opening i would like to record the date too.

The TODAY() function is volatile & will update. Are you looking for a macro to do this?
    Hope that helps.

Yes i have realised that is my problem, I want the date to be as today when i first open the template but once it saved and then re opened the date that was today should now be creation date, and the new opening date should new be a revision date, if that is clear.
