Lightbulb How to find match data and exclude with condition

    Hi,

I need help in excel if there's function to do this..

    e.g.:

    Install Date Serial No
    31-Dec-12 10177
    31-Dec-12 10177
    30-Jun-11 10240
    31-Dec-12 10240
    30-Sep-13 10240
    30-Sep-13 10240

if "Matching Serial Number" has Install Date greater than 31st Dec 2011, exclude that record

What i want to do is e.g.: function to check Serial Number and if the same serial number have date greater than specified date, that record to be excluded

Is there way to perform this?

If by 'exclude' you mean 'delete', then no, there isn't a function to do this - although it could be accomplished using VBA.

If by 'exclude' you just mean ignore in terms of running some other formula, then there may be other ways around it.

Either way, it would probably be best to post a dummy sample of data explaining what you are trying to 'exclude'.
