Excel 2007 : Excel 2007 cell formulas changing unexpectedly every time

Hi All,

One of our departments uses MS Excel (specifically excel 2007) as the main tool and we do have excel documents with a lot of references to various excl documents saved in different remote locations/servers connected via LAN.
From the start of Nov 2011 onwards , We are facing an error in cell formulas (where we were using Lookup and taking value from excel documents in the other network share drive \\server1\share).

Error is like if we open an excel file with formula reference to another excel file saved in a different remote server ,it’s formula is changing by itself from \\server1\share to \\server1\share\share and for some machines it changes to C:\server1\share. It is interesting that the formula works properly when accessed from some other computers.

We have updated our office 2007 to SP3 . But couldn’t find any change. This is only for a few machines. But if we open and save such an excel on an issue machine then the excel formula will affect completely even we open it from a normal machine..

We will be really thankful if some noble minds can help us here with a piece of advice in this. Thanks in advance
