automatically copy content into empty cell below

    Hi everyone,

I have a huge worksheet and in one column I would like to copy values from a cell that is right above an empty cell into that empty cell. It can be that there are more than one empty cells beneath, so the value should be copied into every empty cell below until excel finds the next non-empty cell which is the new value for the coming empty cells.

As an example I attached an excel sheet with a small piece from my file but that does enough to explain the problem:
What I need is a way to fill the blank fields in column C with the values above them.
The trick here is that it can be more than one blank field. All my attempts failed so far because I overwrite my own formula when there is more than one empty cell...

I would be very happy for some input on how to solve this problem. Is there no way around VBA here?

Thank you very much for help!

    Best regards,
    Alex

Try the Table Option in Home Tab -> Styles
    Hope that helps.

there could be a workaround. i.e. fill the balnks cell in a seperate column through if formula and than copy pase it on the orignal column

    see this Book1(1).xlsx

    @ royUK:
I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean. All I can find in Home -> Styles is conditional formatting and other format options which do not help me here. Or do they and I'm just not enough into excel to get it?

    @ Azam Ali:
    Thank you very much!
    This worked fine for me.

I select the area, CTRL-G (special) select blanks, and then the formula is +(cell above blank), ctrl-enter. Then copy/paste special to get rid of the formula.
