Hide and Unhide Columns

Hi Guys
I have hidden Columns N through to AK Now I can't seem to Unhide them.
In my book it says: To restore hiden columns to view, select the visible columns on either side of the hidden ones. Then click the format button in the cells group on the home tab before you click Hide and Unhide on the drop down menu and unhide columns on the continuation menu.
I have done exactly this, but can't unhide my columns.

Anybody help.

try maybe with VBA

Columns.Hidden = False

press Alt + F11 insert module and use code above

Hi Dodge,

Instead of selecting column M and column AL you need to click on colmun N and drag over to coumn AL. Then right click on what is seleted and UnHide.

Thanks for that, yes that works fine.
Still can't understand why it didn't work with the info from my book.
I did exactly as it said. I have never used this function so thought I must
have been doing something wrong.
