Excel 2007 : How to automate input value?

Hi guys,

I have a question, i thin it is a pretty simple thing, especially for those who've worked with excel a bit more than me.

I have a formula which refers to data from two input cells, A and B (among others).

The value for the two input cells A and B comes from a table with two columns 1 and 2, such that the value in column 1 becomes the input value in cell A, and the corresponding value in column 2 of the table becomes to input value for cell B.


Now I want to automate this, such that

a. the user enters manually the value for cell A (example 80%)

b. excel refers to the column 1 and locates the cell with 80%

c. excel then enters the corresponding value in column 2 of the table (corresponding to 80%) into cell B

this sounds embarrassingly simple, but I don't know how to do it. Will be very glad to have your help!
