chart for multiple years with multiple catagories

I need to create a chart showing sales, payroll, & costs for each month, and I want to compare 3 years side by side. So, for January, I want to show columns of sales for 09,10, and 11, then columns of payroll expenses for 09,10 and 11, then costs for 09, 10, and 2011. Then I would move onto Fbruary, etc. Can anyone tell me how to group multiple catagories under each month and then display the years together? Thanks!
