    Expandable rows

    Hello,

I downloaded an EXCEL TEMPLATE (link) and there is something that I want to know how it's done. There is a "+" sign and when you press it, there are a few extra rows that appear. And the "+" sign turns into a "-" sign. When you press the "-" sign, the extra rows dissapear. These cells can be found on the right side under the Category column.

You use the function Group (or Ungroup to undo it) under the "Data" menu.

That works partially. I can only expand them from the "Data" menu, I don't have any "+" or "-" sign on the cell above. How can I make it appear?

    Re: Expandable rows

The + on the sheet is for expand & collapse the Pivot Table details.

Select K11, then on the top of the ribbon click Options. At the right side click on Field List. Now Pivot Table Field List should be appear down.
On Row Labels column can see Category & Description. On the top uncheck the Description, now you can see the "+" disappear, if you check again, can see '+' appear in the Pivot Table.
