# Excel 2007 : Count If function for days/weeks in a given month

1. ## Count If function for days/weeks in a given month

Hello,

I want to do a count if function for all 12 months, by month, between the four weeks in that month as part of a monthly roll up so I can roll up by year also. The program will not let me =SUM(all 52 weeks data). Anyone know how to do this because I am stumped!

Hi JMyers,

Welcome to the forum.
It seems to be achievable what you are asking for but for that forum need to understand the data spread, would you be able to upload a sample file for that. Thanks.

It looks like this, I need to count values in cell of plots containing their month. There are four different plots for each month that need to be counted up by month. All values must be in the correct cells, rows and columns.

Hi JMyers,

Thanks for the attachment.
After opening it, I saw all blank cells with no data. Would suggest you to put through some example as well plus your desired results manually and I will be happy to obtain same using formulas.

Hi JMyers,

Sorry to say, but it is still not very clear.
I have checked the YTD Total section, and here the number are appearing similar to the numbers from below sections.
I suggest you to calculate a number manually and put it in the respective cell, highlight it as Green background, now highlight the yellow cells using which that number is to be calculated using formulas. Also there are all "names" in the spreadsheet which should be name1, name2 etc.. if yes, correct this as well. Thanks.
