Create hyperlink to sheet within workbook with sheet tabs hidden

I have created a hyperlink to a worksheet which works as normal but not on a hidden sheet. When the user leaves the sheet that the hyperlink would take them too, I have the sheet set to visible = false through the Worksheet_Deactivate() event.

Is there a way to have a worksheet hyperlink work on a hidden worksheet?

I have this working through data validation and some code, but wanted to go with the worksheet hyperlink...
