simple sum query

I have a small problem which will be pretty basic to solve I imagine for many here.

In column D, starting from D5 down I have weeks of the year, 1-52, but these could appear more than once. I.e. sequence could be 1,1,2,3,3,3,4,4, etc. In column F starting from F5 down I have 'Total Weeks Mileage'. In column J starting from J5 down I have distances.

I want each cell in column F to be able to display the total weeks mileage based on which week we are in. I can't get it to work as there is not a regular pattern of weeks.

Can anyone help?

Hi Dean

If i get your point, then in F5, put the formula.

=SUMIF($D$5:$D$12;D5;$J$5:$J$12)
