Combine two worksheet with common column values

    I'm working with Excel 2003.

I currently have two seperate spreadsheets of country data that I would like to combine. They both have numerical country codes as well as country abbreviations in a column, and these country codes and abbreviations are the same for both excel files. They also both have year columns that are the same format. I would like to combine the two spreadsheets but match up the data from one into the appropriate rows of the other. The other caveat is that there is a limited number of countries from the data sheet i want to combine the other data into so I only need a portion of the data.

    Any help would be appreciated

Re: Help with combining two worksheet with common column values by row

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook. Don't upload a picture when you have a workbook question. None of us is inclined to recreate your data. Upload the workbook and manually add an 'after' situation so that we can see what you expect. In addition clearly explain how you get the results..

    Dummy Books For Excel Help.xls

Sheets one and two are the portions of the data i need to merge and it needs to look like sheet 3 when finished. I apologize I didn't read the rules beforehand.
