Please see the attached spread sheet. in the rows highlighted in yellow. I want to get the data from each year but only adding rows associated with "a" and "d". Normally I would do a vlookup but there are too many thing to match/index.

Thanks. I also want to argument that will match the years. The destination of the formula might be on a different tab. Also the dates might move around, so its critical that I get the dates to match.
Any other requirements before we continue?

The question, as asked, is answered = solved. Don't try to move the goalposts and expect us to run with you.
Suggest you mark this thread as solved and start a new thread with the new question, in full, with a sample workbook that reflects what you want to achieve. You may get new eyes and new input.
