    Populating a master list from a daily log

    I am trying to populate values into a master list. These values are coming from an empty daily template that is repopulated every day with new values.

    Ie;

    I work on a film set that shoots footage onto memory cards. Everyday I fill in an empty template spreadsheet specifying which card has been used, what it has been called and how many files are on it, among other things. These daily totals then need to be copied into one single master spreadsheet which is of course always getting bigger. The following day I go back to the original empty template and start again.

    How do I make it so my master list is continually growing into new cell (down a column), while continuing to use the same empty daily template?

    Thanks for any help

    Ryan

    It sounds like you just need some drop and dragology. From what I understand, you have a spreadsheet that performs an operation based off values you input (your template) but you also need some record keeping. You just need to transpose your template into a table where every row you are entering your data and on the right you have a formula or result based on the values you entered to the left. Now all you have to do is enter in new data each day and drag down the formula you had for the previous row.
