How can I get A1l to = yes/no if a value other than N/A is added to either B1 or B2

    Hi

I am trying to get A1 to show "no" unless a value other than N/A is added to either B1 or B2, then A1 shall show "yes"

    any ideas please?

    thanks

If you mean that N/A is a returned error (#N/A) then

If N/A is a string (abbr for "Not Available") then

    Hi

Yes sorry "N/A" is just a value ive entered (not applicable)

So i tried to use the 2nd formula you kindly provided but it doesn't seem to work as the value stays the same (yes or no)when entries added to either B1 or B2.

Just to confirm what im trying to achieve:

B1 & B2 currently show "N/A" and A1 shows "No", however if the user enters a value in either B1 or B2 then A1 will show "Yes"

    hope that makes sense

    thanks for your time

FWIW the formulae on the forum are enclosed between code tags so you can copy them easily
