    Problem with linked workbooks

    Hello all!

I have an issue I haven't been able to solve, and I hope it may be an easy one for you folks.

Basically I have 1 workbook that holds "Goal" information and I have several other workbooks that are linked to it so they can display the goal info on the individual workbooks. It works fine until I have to add or delete goals for new business or old business. When that happens, the cell locations for the source data shifts and therefore changes the data that is being fed to the other spreadsheets. I have tried linking with and without "Constants" and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Is there a way to keep the linking intact to my other workbooks when I add/delete rows/columns from the source document?

Sorry if I'm using the wrong lingo for this. This is my first post to the forum. Thanks in advance for your time and assistance

Use named ranges (Click for help) and refer to them instead of referring to cell addresses.

Thanks for the info! One more question though, Not all of the info is in the same order when I link to the external workbooks. Would I have to rename each cell? (There are about 200)
