Thank you for all your help, so I have another question.
I have a large spreadsheet with the font in Red and Black. I need to sort all the red so I can delete. Your guidance is appreciated.

Select the cells to be sorted
Go to Data -> sort. It will open sort window.
select "Font color" in "sort on" column.
I do not have a column titled Font Color. I the "City" column I have some city names in Black and other city names in Red. Some of the same nemed cities are red and some are black. I need to sort the red color vs black. Sorry I did not make that clear.
I meant, you will see a column called 'sort on' in sort window and you will need to select "font color" from the dorp down which can be seen just below 'sort on'. let me know if this is not clear. i will send you a screen shot.
I am working in Excel 2003 and when I open the sort box it is only "sort on" and it lists columns.
Sorry. I do not have 2003. I have 2010. Attaching my screen shot here. See if it can help you to trace out the same option in 2003.
I see you you thought I was crazy. I do not have nay thing like that. I was thinking that the font color had a number ID in the background that someone knew an then i could use that to sort.
Thank you for your effort you all know some much.
