Question from Excel novice

I am trying to produce a multiple choice list on an Excel spreadsheet
(a drop down menu basically). I have been told that it should be
possible to click on an item in the list and produce a simple graph for
each of the items selected (the items in the list will refer to a group of cells
containing numerical data). I also need a button on the spreadsheet
which will print out the data. I have looked at several beginners guides
to excel but there does not seem to be anything on this and I have not
found much on the net (like looking for a needle in a haystack). Could
anyone explain in very simple terms how to go about this and /or
point to any pages on the net which would explain clearly how to do it?

Thanks

Jim

Welcome to the forum

If you have some sample data to upload, it will make it muc easier for us to offer solutions for you. It doesnt sound like what you want will be too much of a problem to solve.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

The data isn't ready yet unfortunately. Is it possible to explain in general terms?

Forum Rules

Please read and adhere to these simple rules!

1. Use concise, accurate thread titles. Your post title should describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.

7. Don't ignore requests by Administrators, Moderators, or senior members of the forum. If you are unclear about their request or instructions, then send a private message to them asking for help. Do not post a reply in a thread where such a request (e.g., title change, code tags) is pending.
Regards
