    Drop down menu/Graphs

I am trying to produce a multiple choice list on an Excel spreadsheet
(a drop down menu basically). I have been told that it should be
possible to click on an item in the list and produce a simple graph for
each of the items selected (the items in the list will refer to a group of cells
containing numerical data). I also need a button on the spreadsheet
which will print out the data. I have looked at several beginners guides
to excel but there does not seem to be anything on this and I have not
found much on the net (like looking for a needle in a haystack). Could
anyone explain in very simple terms how to go about this and /or
point to any pages on the net which would explain clearly how to do it?

    Thanks

    Jim

Yes, you are surely aware that it is. What exactly was the purpose of your reply?

Why don't you spend some minutes to read the rules of the forum??

So No 5 of the forum rules, is this.

    5. Don't duplicate posts. We have seven question forums: Miscellaneous, General, Programming, Worksheet Functions, Charting, Excel 2007 Help and New Users. Please choose the appropriate forum, and post your question in ONLY one. .....

Why don't YOU read them: rule 5 asks that the same post is not sent to different forums...my posts were sent to the same General forum.

It's a shame, for this forum......

I guess you have no answer to the specific point which I made
(namely that the forum rules refer to duplicate posts in different
forums)and so have resorted to ad hominem remarks (a breach of
forum rules incidently). In fact all
I did was to post something under a rather general heading-a fairly
minor mistake to have made many might think. The amount of comment
from petty-minded moderators and people like yourself greatly
surpasses the amount of inconvenience caused by the original
posts (2 "misheaded" posts from me, I think, compared with some
half-dozen comments from others which were nothing to do with Excel).
So far as receiving help is concerned I haven't the slightest
expectation of receiving any from this group.

    Re: Drop down menu/Graphs

I have decided to leave this "help" forum: it is utterly useless in my opinion.
