    sorting questions

I work with a spreadsheet where I enter data every day about a series of oil wells. On one sheet I have a master list of each well and which route it is located on. I have found some VB code that allows me to generate a data sheet for each day of the year. The problem I have is that the list of wells continually grows as new wells come online or perhaps the list can decrease if a well goes out of service or is sold. As I add new wells to the master list, they show up on every data sheet. However, I am unable to sort the list after I add a new well.

Can anyone help. I'm also having trouble attaching the spreadsheet to this post.

    Welcome to the forum dnusz,

Are you getting any error msg while uploading the file?

Why do you say you are unable to sort the list? Is it not sorting at all when you attempt it?

I run the macro MakeYear and I generate a sheet for every day of 2012
Then I add a well called David 1 west
The new well shows up in the sheet All Wells and in Sheet1
Then I run the macro SortAllSheets
The new doesn't show up in any of the dated sheets.

When I originally posted, did my excel file get attached?

Your file is not visible. Please try again. Also keep in mind the max file size allowed per file type.

I can upload the file but I can't seem to attach it.

It says: Please drag and drop an existing attachment on to "Drage Files Here" or add a new one by pressing "Add Files".

My file is visible in the Upload box.

I guess you are using the Enhanced Attachment feature. Do this - go to your profile (settings), select General settings on the left. Scroll right down to Miscellaneous options. Select Enhanced Attachment uploading off. Then try uploading the file.

Did you turn enhanced Attachment uploading off and then try?
