    Making graphs dynamic

    Hi,
I'm using Excel 2003 on Windows XP(SP2). I currently plot a load of data (values over a time period) in a Stacked Area type graph. I'm now being asked if I can "grab" a slice of the area graph and drag it to the right to see what effect it has on the overall shape/top line.
Effectively, I want to do some scenario visualisation using the graph view.
    I'm stumped!

    Any suggestions?

    Many thanks

Quite honestly, it would help to see a sample workbook with a before and after.

All graphs are dynamic if you change the numbers on the selected graph range it will change dynamically.
If someone helped give them rep using the star button.

If you have received a satisfactory solution please mark the thread solved. If not Fotis will come for you at night :P

    Thanks for responses.
Darknation: I know that changing humbers in a range changes the graph, but I want to do that the other way round. ie Change the graph by drag/drop and have the numbers change.
Jeffreybrown:sample graph.JPG Attached (I hope) is a view of a sample graph. It plots numbers of staff required to man up various contracts over time. You can see that towards the RH end of the graph the manning levels required ramp up. I want to model, for instance, what would happen if I took, say, Contact 6, and dragged it to the left?
At this level of simple data it would be easy to do it by changing the numbers that feed the graph but my real data is much more complex and much more in volume than this example.
I hope I've described my needs properly?

    Thanks
