linear chart + data (how to add)

Hello,

I have linear charts of gold prices, interest rates, crude oil, employment rates, etc. I have a list of start-up companies from their founding date and bankruptcy date. I want to place all these 150 companies in the charts so you can see their existence timeline.

I would just like to post linear lines on the charts which are in accordance with the dates and the interest and employment rates, etc.

I don't know how to explain this better. I hope you understand or if not then ask and I will try to explain in another manner.

Please be so kind to share some helpful info. It's for my final thesis and I'm really stuck with this part.

if i understand what you are looking for, you just need a graph for data in a table, right?

if you can upload a sample worksheet, it might be most useful to help you with.

if you want to take a shot at it, here is what you do - highlight your entire table where your data for prices / rates etc. reside. navigate to Insert tab, Charts group, Lines function (ALT+N+N in Windows, do not know about Mac). select a type of line graph and experiment with it. if you want to display Data Labels (such as prices, rates), in Windows you would right-click on a line and select Add Data Labels, but wait - does Mac have a right-click ?
