[XML] import -> filter -> export

    hi everybody!
I have an XLS file that gets data from an imported XML file.
I need to apply some filters and then export it in a new XML file.
I'm trying both "Development->Export" and "Save as->XML Data" procedures, but it always saves all data in the XLS document, not only the filtered.
How can I obtain a new XML file with only filtered data???
    Thankyou for your answers!

    Hi,

Seems to me the easiest way is to use Data Filter Advanced to extract whatever records you want to a completely new sheet, then right click the sheet tab name, choose 'Move or Copy', tick the 'create a copy' box and select the 'new workbook option'.

Then save the new workbook you have created as an xml file.

I don't think it's possible, there are sensible data...
I can describe it. It's a table containing names, phone numbers and text.
I need to apply a filter for a range of phone numbers (I already made it by Advanced filter and wildcards).
After filtering I need to create a new XML file with only that data.
It's weird there isn't a specific function in excel!

    Hi,

I'm sure it's sensible data, but even if it's sensitive data we don't need to see real names or descriptions. Just manually change them to anonymous values on a copy and upload the copy. Neither do we need to see every single row as long as you include a representative sample.
