    Linking cells in a workbook

I am trying to link a title from one worksheet to another. In WB 1: c14:c16 has the name which are merged cells, in WB 2: I place an = sgn in the merged cells c14:c16. After placing the = in the merged cells in WB I go to WB 1, place my cursor in the hit I want to link to, click on it so it identifiies the cell and hit enter. When going back to WB 2 I do not see the title from WB 1 the formula not the name. What I am doing wrong? How can have it show the title not the formula?

Is the cell formatted as text? i.e. do you see a label marker in front of the '= sign?
    i.e.
    ' ^ or ""

If so format the cell to General and remove the label marker.
