Referencing Every other row

I am having trouble coming up with a formula that will reference every other row in a set of data. If the first column and row has a 1 in it I want all the data to the right to be displayed. First Column second row has a 2 then no data should be displayed. So that there is one table with just the data from 1 and not from 2. There are 14 columns to the right of the first column. I'll attach an example. The table is on the tab RI Ladder LC-POS_CS starting in A143, the new table can be displayed anywhere. I just need help with the formula.

    Thanks,

    Jay

there is no data at the reference/sheet you specified. perhaps its on another sheet, or you didnt include it?
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Your sample does not match your description. There is nothing in cell A143. I suggest you enter dummy data in your sample sheet showing what you want to achieve (ie assuming the formula worked)

    Re: Referencing Every other row

Why don't you format your data as a table (INSERT\TABLE) and then filter on the "1s" in column A?

    Re: Referencing Every other row

it is a repetative task, with the initial data I would like to simply paste from a database into excel and using the reference table that picks out the samples that are run on column 1 and column 2. And then create a retention time plot using dynamic charting for each internal standard. this way all i have to do is paste and the charts are generated. I already have this set up on a 1 column system but i cant recall the formula that i could use for this 2 column system.

    Re: Referencing Every other row

ok, maybe im making this too simple, but couldnt you just use a filter to display only the data you want? hidden rows wont show up in a graph

failing that, try running an advanced data filter, extracting what you need to a seperate sheet. if this gives you what you need, "test" it a few times, and then record a macro, to automate it for you
