    Date of birth conversion

    Hi,

    If I am trying to convert a date of birth from "3/23/1947" to "19470323" what is the best way to do that?

    If you just want to change the appearance you can use formatting, custom format date cell as

    yyyymmdd

    or to get that result as a number in another cell use this formula in B2 where date is in A2

    =TEXT(A2,"yyyymmdd")+0
