Calculating Monthly Sales YTD %

Hi Excel Community,

I have been asked to calculation the Monthly Sales YTD %. The report is a weekly report based on products sold. How do I calculate the YTD when they use a separate date table and the past sales are in a raw data table based on weekly sales. I looked up this formula YTD/Previous YTD-1. I have this last year's YTD sales, but I don't know how to add the dates to get to Get this Year's YTD.

Please attach the file so we can see how the data is organized. If the data is sensitive then replace the sensitive parts with fake data.

The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. Instead, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

Since the only reference to YTD that I see is in cell I8 on sheet 1, I assume that you would like the YTD values to be placed in I9:I12.
Paste the following formula into cell I9 and drag the fill handle down to I12:
