Convert words to value - And calculate percentage

Hi there,


I'm new on this site and i wondered is you guys van solve my question. (also i'm from the netherlands so my english can hold some flaws)

I want to calculate the total percentage of a row (Say A1:A10) (from 0% to 100%).
But i want to type it as ''COMPLETE''.

So for instance:
A1. COMPLETE <-- equals 10%...

So, if i put COMPLETE in all the sections (A1:A10), the total percentage would be 100%.

My question is, how do i convert the word ''COMPLETE'' to a value of ''10%''? And how do i add all the COMPLETE sections together to calculate te whole row to 100% (A1:A10)?



I'ts very hard to explain this in english but i hope you understand...

But the formula didnt work for me (i guess i did something wrong), can you add an attachment in Excel with your awnser?

Also, where does the ''/9'' stand for?
