Formula in spreadsheet HELP PLEASE

Hello, I have been sent an excel spreadsheet that contains the following formula, can someone tel me what it is calculating please?

=d59*$e$2*

It product value in D59 cell (that can change if you move formula in other cell) and value in E2 cell (that can NOT change if you move formula in other cell) and so on (* at the end means there is something more to product or you will get error if you enter like showed).
