Conditional Formatting: Change color of a cell based on the color of another cell

Hey all! This is my first question to the forum so forgive me if it's a bit stupid.

I am in charge of scheduling the 25 employees in my shop for their shifts every week. A few days before I put together the schedule, I ask them for their availability, which I input using conditional formatting--inputting "ok" turns a cell green, inputting "no" turns it black. That way i can quickly see who can work when.

Once I've created the schedule, I'd like to be able to ensure I haven't accidentally scheduled anybody for a shift during which they're not available. The availability grid and the schedule grid are exactly the same size: 25 rows with employee names x 7 columns (one for each day of the week). I would love to overlay some conditional formatting over the schedule grid such that any cell that is black in the availability grid (for example, Kyle on Tuesday) turns the corresponding cell in the schedule grid (Kyle on Tuesday) red , flagging the fact that I accidentally scheduled Kyle on Tuesday.

Does anyone know a way of doing that? For the record, I have zero experience with VBA.

Attached is a spreadsheet that demonstrates what I'm trying to do:

it will probably be easier to change cell colour based on the value in seperate cells
for example in C9 your conditional format / formula is
    =N9="no"
    then format to red
