Excel 2007 : Pulling info off 1 sheet from another

Hi. excel 2007. I have 2 master lists of inventory. 1 is what can be ordered, the other is what is normally ordered. I have item numbers on both sheets and that is what I want to use to pull from. I was wondering if it is possible to select the item numbers from sheet 1 and use that to select the same item numbers from sheet 2. I would like them to end up on a seperate sheet so I can break it down for each department. let me know if I am not being clear enough.
