    Question PROPER Formula

I am trying to use the PROPER formula to take a list of names that is all in caps, and make it normal. As far as I can tell, I'm doing it correctly, but I think I'm missing something in this because I'm not seeing any results.

My names are in A4 through A34, I put my formula of =PROPER(A4) and so on in column B. Now what? This is where things are getting lost. I thought that once I entered the formula it would magically take the name from column A, and make it look normal, but all I see is the formula still. What am I doing wrong/missing?

Try calculating the sheet with an F9, or make sure your calculation is set to automatic. If that doesn't work, put the formula in an unused portion of your worksheet, then move it to B4. Sometimes the cell will be formatted funky and prevent things from displaying properly.

That was it. I was banging my head trying to understand why it wasn't working! You're great!
