    Excel 2007 Filter

    Hello everyone,

I feel really silly asking this question, but I'm stuck! I am trying to add Filter to columns D,E and R. I have no trouble with the D and E because they are adjoining and can be selected together. But as soon as I also select R the message appears that Filter can't be used on multiple selections. I've used that tool hundreds times before, but not in Excel 2007.

    Appreciate any thoughts

    Marina

hi marina, Autofilter can only have 1 continuous range in 1 worksheet. u'll have to select from D-R

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

Thanks Benishiryo. But what if I don't want the filter buttons on every column between D and R? Any way around it?

I'm not sure I'd recommend making parts of the data into separate tables
