Conditional Formatting - General prob & how to change colour of a cell if text is in it

    Hi,

I have two problems with conditional formatting.

    1) I'm trying to change the colour of text in L43 to red if any cells in P33:P41 go below a figure of 80. Yet the below is not working.

    2) I need to change the colour of the green box (L46:O54) to red if there is text present in it. I have looked on the net but can't find the appropriate function.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Sam

    Hi Sam

For the first question, i use a lot of IF(OR function.

    For the second, =ISTEXT(L46)

    Is this, works for you?

    Hi Fotis, Marcol

I tried yours Marcol. The first one worked perfectly. With the second is it possible to turn that whole green section red when there is text present?

    Cheers

    Sam
