Excel send email using outlook (03) automatically when expiry date is coming up.

Hi everyone i have been trying to do this for a month now and keep getting so far. your help would be great.

I have an excel file (attached) with the name of equipment, date to be calibrated and persons responsible email address. i would like to be able to open up the excel file manually, have a macro automatically checks the date in the date to be calibrated column. If any are over this date then the macro will take the email address from that row, create a new msg in Outlook (2003), take the name equipment number and name and put them into the msg. i understand i will get the security msg, that’s ok (but if there is a simple way around it i would love to here it). Then i would like the date that the emails was sent put into the email sent column.

I have tried to copy code out of other threads but keep making a mess of it.

    Thanks

    Hi John,
Thank you so much for your reply. I have taken bits of this code and created the attached excell sheet. I cannot for the life of me have the macro create a msg and add in the equipment number and name into the msg along with dear sir and thanks. could you have a look to see if the coding will be stable enough or could it be cleaned up any?

    Any help would be appricated

    Hi.

Thanks for sharing, it helps me a lot. I am doing the same program for our equipment calibration list but how can I attached the excel file and if possible highlight the Item in red colour?
