    I need help about index function.i need some sheets on my file.please look at and help me.

    1)Pls, spend a minute and change your title, according the forum rules.

    2) As we get an error in your formula, pls explain us where are you looking(INDEX) and Where compare the bordro!C4.(MATCH)

    i would like to see on sheet bordro.how many hours worked employee.how much is his hourly pay.in my older post about vlookup have file quiz2.xlsx.on ths file all function workin.but there only 3 employee.i want this function for so many people.i have tried but could not.

    i think there is a problem with your sheets. im not entirly sure who your ment to be looking up.

    the employ you have on the bordro does not have a hourly rate set and there are 2 lists of empolye.

    It looks like you need this formula in bordro!C5:

    =INDEX(anel!C3:C397,MATCH(C4,anel!D3:D397,0))

    BTW: you seem to be posting employees' personal information - not good
