Question Possible to do in-cell query for currency exchange?

Does anyone know if there is a way to do an in-cell formula to query for the current currency exchange rate.

For example something like this (I know there is no such formula, just a thought): =query(somewebservice, gbp:eur) and in that cell it would show 1.2508 or whatever it is for gbp in eur when the workbook is opened.

I know there is a way to get tables to be queried, but I have so many sheets in the workbook with different currencies including uncommon ones, I don't think this method is suitable solution.

Would greatly appreciate any help on this. Thank you.
