Cool Conditional Formatting a cell to highlight "red", after passing one year expiration date

    Good morning!

I was wondering if anyone could help me with the following "conditional formatting" query.

I have an existing database which lists dates of the training and dates due. (see attached).

    RESPIRATORY copy.xlsx

As you can see in column E, there are listed due dates.

What I am trying to do is simply make the cells to highlight in RED & BOLD when the expiry date is past the current date; or rather "todays date" - and Yellow if it is within 30 days of expiring

Then, I would like to create a rule, so the cells could highlight YELLOW BOLD so that I have ample time to address the dates if necessary.

Unfortunately I have tried some of the formulas I've seen on the forum, with no luck. I think I may be missing something simple. I was hoping someone on here would be able to help me out.

Apologies if the information in this post is a little vague, I am happy provide more information if it would make you better able to answer my query.

Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Well, through loads of other internet reseach, trial and error, and just having fun, I found the answer myself. Too bad it took so long, thought it would be easy for the techies. If anyone is interested, you can e-mail me at [email protected]
