    Need help in auto rounding off time when clocking-in early

    I need help on this please..

    I have columns in my excel file which tracks time-ins and time-outs of the employees. I need a formula that will round off time to the specified starting time of work if an employee clocks in early. This is to avoid the computation of lates being adjusted.

    What I want to achieve is that:

    If
    A1 = Time in
    B1 = Time out
    C1 = Total time worked
    D1 = Late

    In A1 if he times in at 5:45am this will automatically round off to 6:00am
    But if he arrives late, let say 6:06 no rounding off will happen so the late will still reflect.

    Why do I need this is because, when i compute for the total time of work the difference should show the actual late but when there are early time ins, it gives a confusing result.

    Hope someone can help me on this.

    Thank you so much!

    Replace your start time with =MAX(A1,"06:00")
