To combine data for similar phrase

Hi,

I have some data from a database that have different result for the same texts in different formats.

eg.

catering rome	300
[catering rome]	200
"catering rome"	100

I am looking for a way to let the file become more readable in the below format.

catering rome

300

200

100

I could do this manually but there are many data to be processed and I was wondering if I could use excel to help me automate some of the process.


1. At first, I thought of using some formula to clean up the word eg "[catering rome]" to remove the "[" and "]", likewise for "catering rome". I would want to clean up the " " ". So when its clean, I will then use a compare field to make sure they are the same words before combining the data.


2. Any mutil-steps solutions are welcome.

I would really appreciate it if the experts here can offer me some insights.
Please note that I am a excel newbie and do not be too tough on me.
