Can this macro be written more efficiently?

I have the following macro:

I finally got it to do everything I need it to do, but it seems rather crude. My concern is that too many command lines increases the possibility of error.
If someone could give me some pointers on working with ranges it would be appreciated.

It worked mostly. But I somehow lost the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+u. It works great "running" it from the macro menu.
