conditional formatting if the user has edited the cell?

Trying to be able to draw attention to any cells that have been manually edited.

Presuming the cell contained a formula, is there any way to highlight a cell that does not contain a formula?

    thinking maybe if("<>"the original formula)?

Sounds painfully redundant from an efficiency standpoint.

Is there any built in rule for if a cell does not contain a formula?

alternatively I may just lock the whole darn sheet.

    Hi

If you think that will work for you, then we can do the Opposite of what you ask for!

I mean that we can, using Conditional Formatting, to highlight all cells that contain formulae. So the "white" cells don't contain formula...

Here is a link to instructions on how to highlight cells containing formulas and can adapt for the opposite.
